What the coating needs to be is defined by conditions of use: indoor furniture, an industrial part working at ground level, and a coastal facade all call for different systems.
Surface preparation determines how long this coating lasts. Oil, oxide and weld residue are removed, then a conversion coating boosts corrosion resistance and gives the powder a consistent base.
Film thickness is set by exposure — typically 60–80 µm indoors, 80–100 µm outdoors — and measured on the cured part.
Adhesion, thickness and surface quality are checked on the batch before packing, so the work leaving the workshop is documented.
