Electrostatic powder coating is a dry surface finishing method. Instead of a liquid paint carried in solvent, a fine polymer powder is electrically charged and sprayed onto a metal part connected to a grounding line.
Because the powder is charged and the part is grounded, particles are drawn to the surface and adhere evenly — including edges and recesses a brush or roller could never reach.
The coated part then enters a curing oven. There the powder melts, flows and cross-links into a single continuous film that mechanically locks onto the metal.
The result: a surface with no solvent emissions, very little waste (overspray powder can be collected and reused), and noticeably harder, more impact-resistant than an equivalent wet-paint layer.
